Waiver and Liability Release
- 1. I understand that sailing is an activity that had inherent risks of property damage and personal injury. I am participating entirely at my own risk.
- 2. I agree to release Lake Worth Sailing Club, the race organizers (organizing authority), race committee, protest committee, host club, sponsors, volunteers, or any other organization or official involved with this event, each individual boat owner, and representative from negligence, whether active or passive, whether or not such negligence arises from risks or activities inherent in sailing. This does not apply to gross negligence or intentional acts.
- 3. I authorize program organizers to sanction emergency treatment if no names emergency contact can be reached in the event of an emergency.
- 4. I permit Lake Worth Sailing Club and the affiliated sunfish associations to use photos of me and my boat in their publications without prior permission.
- 5. By signing this agreement I am indicating that I am fully aware of the dangers inherent with sailing, specifically that serious injury, amputation, or death may result. I accept the risks inherent in sailing, activities related to sailing, and its environment.
- 6. It is also understood that this release is binding to any other persons, including family members, heirs, and executors.
- 7. This waiver and release of liability agreement shall be in effect in entirety while on club grounds and/or affiliated with the Lake Worth Sailing Club.
